At Watershed, we are a Jesus-centered people doing life together. In light of our understanding of Jesus, we hope to be a diverse community working together towards wholeness and the advancement of God’s Kingdom beginning in our neighborhood.

We have four central values that guide everything we do:

We are Jesus-Centered

We see Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life – through Jesus we find salvation, which means life and wholeness both today and forever. We follow in the way of Jesus, and the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels guide all our faith and life.

We are Community-Based

We believe the good news of Jesus has the ability to bring people of all different types together in a community. We also believe that the community, a people, is the church, not a building, place, or event.

We are Mission-Focused

As a response to Jesus, we are compelled and called our on mission. We love and serve our neighbors, and practice radical hospitality, justice and reconciliation.

We are Story-Guided

We value our collective story which began two thousand years ago with Jesus, and has continued throughout the history of the Christian church. We connect to this story through the church calendar. We also value the collective story of our theological tradition began by our Anabaptist fathers in the 16th Century. What is most beautiful is how each of us has an individual story that fits into the larger story of God’s redemptive work in this world.
